If I meant the ECS Denise, I would have stated it.. the EHB Denise was an
upgrade from the original Denise chip brought out for newer A1000s and
A500s. My point was, they worked on that one chip at that time to improve
quality and generate revenue, why do you think it is so improbable for
them to work on one new chip now to do the same thing?

Not significant? Revenue is revenue and I think AT could tell you how
significant it is.  Why are developers making PPC boards for the A1200 if
they didn't think it was significant? What would you rather do pay $600 -
$1000 to upgrade your A1200 or $30 or so? Which would have a lot more
sold, PPC upgrade boards or a new revision of Paula.. think about it
before you post!

Software development involving a new Paula would NOT only involve games,
it would involve MIDI/Music programs also which creates a whole new niche
and spinoff benefits.  Microsoft recently bought out Blue Ribbon
Softworks which created Bars 'N' Pipes on the Amiga, heralded as one if
not the best MIDI/Music program on the Amiga or any system - this program
has gotten a lot of respect in the Amiga community and aided the image of
the Amiga and with Microsoft buying them out, obviously they feel it is
quality software/coders too!  Games/apps will not be compatible with the
Power Amiga also (the advances in them) - there you go again, please
clean the wax out of your ears - have you missed totally the
compatibility they are making sure the Power Amiga will have to run older
software.. the 68k emulation from Apple or elsewhere, AGA in a PPC chip
sound familiar? Man.

That is what we need to keep up with the Jones until the Amiga can
surpass them! Advancement means better image in the view of the consumer
and more pleasing to the.. in this case, ear.  Less floppy swapping is a
bonus and we still need removable media whether you think so or not.

Have you even heard 16 bit audio yet? There IS a noticeable differences
and with it being on the motherboard of the Power Amiga or A1200, it
would be much more better then on the PCs as it would crack down on the
noise generated on the PC from the sound having to pass through so many
components!

Sure it does, it could generate revenue for SMD [sic] and/or dealers
which would make the Amiga once again look good in their eyes if they can
make money through the spinoffs of carrying them.

And this ISN'T good? Look where this got the Atari ST.. that is NOT a
niche you want to leave out as sometimes it generates free publicity and
other spinoff products.

I've been using a HD for ages and it doesn't eliminate the need for
floppies or should I say writable, removable media.

Who said anything about a new Paula being able to work on an A1000?
Nothing new works on an A1000 where the hell are you coming from? The
world doesn't revolve around the A1000 unless you think it does, just
like you think the world revolves around my BBS for some reason! >:->

talk to me when you HAVE an Amiga and stoop to your level!

P.S. I must apologize for Byron, he forgot to take his ridiline for the
past few days and seems to have an infatuation with me, my BBS and my
Amiga and forgets he is typing on an international forum and not hanging
his dirty laundry out on his back porch.  It never fails, when someone
can't get their points across, they revert to insults.  Do me and
everyone here reading, if this is all you have to type to me when
replying, don't bother to.. you are the only one getting on like this
with me here.. you are right, this is NOT the BBS world, stop living in it.
